The City of Springfield’s Economic Development Office offers a host of incentives and assistance to small businesses and commercial developers. These services are provided both directly and in partnership with local and regional partners.

New in 2021, the Office of Planning and Economic Development has relaunched the Storefront Program. Existing small businessses that need funding for exterior ground-floor storefront improvements should visit the Small Business Programs site and review application guidelines and materials.
